Our main objective in relation to careers is to develop the knowledge, skills and attributes of our students to enable them to make effective, informed decisions about their future education, training and employment. The RSA Academy has a priority to uphold the statutory guidance set out by the DfE to ensure that all students are provided with independent careers guidance from year 8 to year 13.
The careers programme runs as a strand of the PSHCE curriculum. Each year group from Y7 to Y13 takes part in a tutor led careers programme through the 25 minute PSHCE sessions at the start of the academy day with the exception of Y11 who will have a dedicated hour session each week.
