13 Jul RSA8 Newsletter
Dear Parents and Carers, we hope you are all well.
This term, to help spread some positivity following the horrendous experiences of the last 18 months, our RSA8 students have been creating an Academy newsletter filled with positive articles.
TEAtime (Tipton Everyday Action) was designed, written and edited by nine of our amazing Year 8 students. Following a couple of specialised workshops, concentrating on social action ideals and interviewing techniques, the students decided what they wanted to include in the newsletter, and which roles they would like in its creation.
They then had a whole day, working in our ‘newsroom,’ to conduct all the interviews, write and edit the articles and design the logo and layout of the newsletter.
We are extremely proud of their efforts in creating this inaugural edition of TEAtime, and we hope that you enjoy reading it as much as they enjoyed making it.
Thank to Mr Waltho as Editor-in-Chief, supporting the students to produce the newsletter and Mrs Batra for the journalism training across the RSA Academies for all RSA8 students involved.
