Dear Parents and Carers,
Re Covid-19 (corona virus)
Following the government announcement yesterday, we are continuing to operate in school.
I am aware that there were troubling messages yesterday from the government, and I would like to reassure you that we are making sure that we are following all advice available to us. Our primary consideration remains keeping all of our community safe and well.
We are continuing to plan for students who may be working from home for extended periods of time. Today we will be sending packs of work home with all students. This work is designed to last for up to 3 weeks. Also in the packs of work are details of how students can contact their teachers if they have any questions about work. This will be online, through Microsoft Teams. Attached to this letter are instructions for how students and parents can access Office 365 for free. This includes the Teams package. Office 365 can be used on all devices including smart phones. Students can get help downloading Office 365 on to their phones or devices at break and lunchtimes through the IT office. Students will use their school email and password to access this facility.
Should there be an extended closure of school, we will switch our working online and inform all parents, carers and students about how this will work. We will contact students through their school email, and parents through the email address we have, on our website and through our social media. Please can you ensure that we have your most up to date email address.
Please take care of yourself and each other.
