Time to celebrate!

Parents were invited in to the Academy for a special celebration evening last night to acknowledge all the excellent work that is being done in partnership with parents and to celebrate having achieved the Leading Parent Partnership Award. We know that when parents are involved in their children’s education, children do better and the Academy therefore makes it a priority to put on a wide range of activities and events in order to engage parents and encourage them to work with us so that we can achieve the very best outcomes for our young people.
The celebration evening showcased many of our activities through short presentations, film footage and activities. Parents and staff members who have made a particular contribution were invited to the dinner and the event was a great success. Delicious food was provided by our catering staff and hospitality students served drinks and waited on the tables with great professionalism. Tina Bate from LPPA presented us with a certificate to mark having achieved the award and this was received by Louise Morris, Parent Governor and Chair of the Parent Council.
