NCFE CACHE TECHNICAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care
Entry Requirement: Grade 4 in English or above
This qualification is a two-year course which prepares students to work with clients in a variety of settings and environments within the sectors of Health and Social Care; working with children, vulnerable adults and young people.
You will study 18 units in total, equating to two A-levels, including units on Human Growth Development, Infection Control, Psychological Approaches, Dementia Care and Protection of Children and Young People.
What can I do next?
Studying this subject is a gateway towards careers in medicine, nursing, health care science and mental illness care as well as jobs such as dentistry and medical technicians.
How will I be assessed?
The course is assessed via 3 external examinations: 3 examinations will be externally assessed including one examination on Anatomy and Physiology. Being science-minded will greatly help. You will need a good standard of written English as there will be 15 unit of coursework. Being organised is a must! You will also need to complete 175 hours of work experience as part of this course.
