Bollywood comes to Tipton!

We have had a very exciting visitor at the Academy during the course of last week. Subhash Gorania, a well-known Bollywood dancer, choreographer and winner of the numerous dance competitions in Mumbai, has been working with our Year 12 IB dancers to prepare for the forthcoming ‘Bollywood 100’ celebrations in Birmingham during June.

The RSA Academy Under 16 Boys triumphed yesterday evening in the final of the West Midlands schools competition to spark wild celebrations at Sutton United Football club.

Year 13 are preparing to leave and move onto pastures new! They have had to work incredibly hard all year to reach this point. IBDP, IBCC and Vocational students are now completing their courses and many are in exam mode.

The Deutsche Bank debating competition is an annual one that takes place every year. Schools across the country enter the competition in which they are sectioned into regions. As the RSA won the Birmingham Regional Final, we will be representing Birmingham in the National Finals.

The new Student Leadership Team at the RSA Academy for 2013 take up their positions this week. After a rigorous selection process organised by Student Parliament the successful students are:
