Shayna Rushmere, completed a 3 week work-placement, during the summer holidays. This scheme is open to all Hospitality students aged 16 and above.The placement takes place in July, This is a national scheme which aims to build Hospitality students’ ‘hands on’ experience of the hospitality industry.
During Shayna’s week of training she completed her Level 1 Food hygiene in catering and Level 1 Health and Safety certificate. She then completed a 2 week placement at Ed’s Diner based in Selfridges, Birmingham City Centre.
Due to the success of this placement, Shayna has now secured a part time job at Ed’s. Well done, Shayna!
