Admission – Post 16

Applicants for entry at post 16 should contact the Academy direct. Post 16 offers 100 places to students per year with up to 20 places available for non-Academy students.

NB: The siblings criteria does not apply to those joining Post 16 from outside the normal Academy intake.

Students have a selection of level 1, 2, and 3 courses with entrance levels as below:-

Level 1.Entry is subject to recommendation. 1 or 2 year course offering; BTEC Introductory Certificate/Diploma, GCSEs, ASDAN and progression to Level 2 or employment.

Level 2.At least 4 GCSEs at ‘D/E’ grade or above including English Language. 1 or 2 year course offering; BTEC First Diploma, First Certificate, GCSEs, ASDAN/CoPE and progression to Level 3 or employment.

Level 3.At least 4/5 GCSEs at ‘C’ grade or above including English Language. 2 year course offering GCE AS/A2 levels, applied A levels, BTEC nationals, awards, certificates, Diplomas and progression to university or employment.
